If the Jews hated the Romans why would some of them choose to live in Rome? 

In 63 BC the Roman general Pompey besieged Jerusalem. Many Israelites were killed, imprisoned and thousands were placed into slavery. Some of those slaves were taken to Rome and helped to build important structures, including the Colosseum. (Source 1 and Source 2)
