3 Things to Know from General Conference

A quick dive into "Trust Again" by Elder Gerrit W. Gong from the October 2021 General Conference.

1. Something cool from Elder Gong

Three Things to Know: Elder Gerrit W. Gong

I loved that Elder Gong opened his talk by admitting he once wanted to run away from home!

Can’t you just picture a child-sized Elder Gong packing his little bags?  So funny and cute!

2. Something you might have missed

Near the end of his talk, Elder Gong shared a J. Reuben Clark quote that I love!

He said, “I believe that our Heavenly Father wants to save every one of his children, … that in his justice and mercy he will give us the maximum reward for our acts, give us all that he can give, and in the reverse, I believe that he will impose upon us the minimum penalty which it is possible for him to impose.”

How can we help but trust in a God who is so generous and loving?!

3. Something you need to know from Elder Gong

Three Things to Know: Elder Gerrit W. Gong

Elder Gong made the important point that no matter who has broken your trust– an unfaithful spouse, a “friend” who lies or gossips about you, a business partner who steals– God is always, always trustworthy.

He will never lie to you, cheat you, or leave promises unfulfilled.
