3 Things to Know

3 things to know about the talk by Sister Bonnie H. Cordon, “Come Unto Christ and Don’t Come Alone.”

1. Something cool to know about Sister Bonnie H. Cordon

Sister Bonnie H. Cordon was a working mother

Something you might not know about Sister Bonnie H. Cordon is that she was a working mom!  She worked outside of the home until her third pregnancy and then later started her own business!  Perhaps she was the original #bossmom?!

2. Something you might have missed

In the middle of her talk (when your kids were probably screaming) Sister Cordon encouraged all of us to find our patriarchal blessings and read them REGULARLY as a reminder who we are and what our purpose is.  She also encouraged those without a patriarchal blessing to get one–soon!  How often do you read your blessing?

3. Something you need to know about Sister Cordon's talk

Sister Bonnie H. Cordon told the story of her son as a soccer goalie

She told a hilarious story (including explanatory pictures) about her son getting distracted during his soccer game.  (We tell the whole story on the FHE-on-the-Go episode!)  She compared this experience to how you and I can get distracted from our real purpose here on earth.  And what’s your purpose?  To come as close to Christ as you can and help others come to Him too!
